How Larry ministered to me

I was reading the Seattle Times where I 1st learned of Larry's passing. I wept.
Larry Norman had a profound impact on me though out the years. When I was just out of high school I went to my last high school church camp in Eldora Iowa. The speaker was a child evengelist preaching that I was going to Hell and that Christian Rock was bad. Well 1st I accepted Christ as me savior when I was 8 and knew I was not going to Hell and second why was Christian rock so bad? I knew then and there that christian music was righteous and Godly. After all what should the Devil have all the good music? I went to my car after the week was out and put in my 8 track of Larry Norman as loud as I could. For all to hear that Christian rock was not bad. It' has all ways been my philosophy to play it loud so all chould hear about Jesus.
I will miss Larry as I do Keith Green. Even Jesus is smiling to have that long haired saint at his side.

Good for you!, yes not anything at all  that is bad with christian rock,it,s the content that counts. I too am a long hair (christian), I,ve been approached too about my hair length. I told this person, it,s the heart that counts. He quickly apologized to me. My views too are similar to Larry Norman,s, even though my talent is not in the music field. We must be ourselves in every circumstance in life. Being honest and who we are. Not fearing rejection. I,ve lost many a friend being gut level and direct and honest. At the same time gained many more who are so much more valuable in my life.smile
