I can remember my big brother shaking his his head incredulously and telling me he could never get away with the stuff I was doing now with the full consent of our parents.  Half joking, he would remind me that he laid the groundwork and took the guff for a lot of the things my parents were now allowing me to do.  With that in mind, I think so many "little brothers" like Steve Taylor, Petra, 4 Him, White Heart, Geoff Moore, and millions of us with our iPods and earbuds owe Larry a monumental debt of gratitude.  Thanks for opening the door.

Larry was a great influence on my life.  I had been a Christian since I was 7 but it was not until the late 60's or early 70's that I saw a Christian Movie on the rapture with his song, that I begin to take my salvation seriously.   I thank him for opening the eyes of a young wife who was concerned only about living in the here and now.  I pray for Larry's family and I know they will be sad, but I am so happy that Larry is with Jesus and free from pain.

Thank you for giving me the chance to sing something hip while being a full time Church School student in Santa Cruz.
I would also like to thank his body gaurds who miss took me for Larry, having let me go to grab Larry at the 1978-1980 Jesus concert.
I teach Constitution now to families who forgot that the blood of our fathers, fought for our freedom.
Freedom is never free, it is only for those who will stand up and be counted.
Larry, I know you are counted.
I am very sorry to see you leave us behind, however I do think this is getting to be the end times and you didn't need to be here for the good fight we must all fight!

Psalms 23 is a possitive prayer, never forget to be thankful, to dwell in the house of the Lord forever, never wanting for food, drink or LOVE!
