Larry Norman Message Board

Thanks to all the thousands of visitors we've had in the past 30 days.
The response has been overwhelming, and has meant a lot to
Larry's family and friends around the world.

Again, thanks for all the support and great memories...

There are sooo many, but one I clearly recall putting my head in a new place was off the song "Right Here In America":

"I'm not talkin' religion, I'm talkin' 'bout Jesus... put all your plans on the shelf... stop marching for peace and start marching for Jesus, & peace will take care of itself".

He was brilliant - I am so glad God shared him.

i always liked these lyrics of Larry's:

"When your life is suddenly filled with rain you keep remembering how the sun used to shine." - from "SOUL SURVIVOR"

"I wonder who would lead us if none of us would vote." - from "THE GREAT AMERICAN NOVEL"

At a concert in the mid 70's, Larry had been talking about how Watchman Nee's writings were still getting out despite his being in prison.  Larry said,

"He converted the guard, and he snuck the pages out.  So, they killed that guard.  He converted the next guard..and his writings just kept coming.  You can't stop God's spirit.  You can't lock it in a cell."

And at another concert in the same time period...

"Let us live our lives carefully, so as to live without regret."

See you soon, Dad

and need Jesus.

some say he was the son of God a man above all men, but he came to be a servant and to set us free from sin, and thats who I believe he is cause thats what I believe, and I think we should get ready cause it almost time to leave... from my favorite LN tune , the outlaw

"We are far across the ocean in a war that's not our own
and while we're winning theirs we almost lost the one at home.
Do you really think the only way to bring about the peace
Is to sacrifice your children and kill all your enemies?"

Just a response to the one about "And every town I play is like the one from where I came..." At the concert I was at, he added, "Except this one...this one's weird!"

In Vancouver, I remember him adding to that:  "They've got trees!"
