Larry Norman Message Board

Thanks to all the thousands of visitors we've had in the past 30 days.
The response has been overwhelming, and has meant a lot to
Larry's family and friends around the world.

Again, thanks for all the support and great memories...

Larry Norman was like a mentor to me although I never spoke to him personally. His unconventional ways and looks have alerted me early on to the fact that there is more than the "mainstream".
I was introduced to his music when I was about 12 years old at the concert of a local singer where there were a total of three records for sale. One was "In Another Land" by Larry Norman. I picked it up simply because I thought that the cover looked so much better than that of the other two on offer. It turned out to have been an excellent choice. From then on my brother and I listened to the album non-stop and at full volume. When we heard of a concert in Lenzburg, Switzerland (in 1979?), my father told my mother to take us there as he thought that that would "stop the noise and fascination". However, my mother liked the concert just as much as we did and even agreed to take some of the concert posters down for us. There has never been another complaint about loud music in our house since then.
Over the years I had the privilege to attend about ten Larry Norman concerts in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Norway and the USA.
I was very sad to hear that Larry Norman had passed on, but thankful for his influence on my life. My thoughts are with his family at this time. He was fortunate to have been surrounded by loving family members, even when he drew his last breath.

          Dear Karin,
it moves my heart to read your experience. Are you sure it      was in 1979? The first concert of LARRY  in Switzerland was Mai 20. 1975         on the Castle of Lenzburg. Were you not there ? Read on page 1 about it !

Herzlichst; YOurs in CHRISTs LOVE, service and care.
