First GOSPEL-ROCK-concert in Switzerland, by Larry Norman

Beloved Larry, I shall never forget the historic , first JESUS-Rock concert, on the Castel of Lenzburg where you played a concert, together with Garth Hewit ( a friend of Cliff Richard ) and the Deliverance-Singers from the Janz Team. As the castelan on the LENZBURG and initiator of the first Rock festival in Switzerland , on Febr. 3. 1965,  in the Casino Zürich Horn,(secular, as I did not know JESUS yet, personaly), I heard your songs : " I wish we d all been ready " and " Why should the devil have all the good music ?"

The LORD really touched my heart , and encouraged me, to invite you for a CHRISTIAN Rock-concert in Mai, as you were on tour in Germany and Europe at that time. The only thing I regret , is, that I thought it would not be possible, to listen to one Brother with his guitar, and sing songs about JESUS for a whole evening . So I engaged 2 more , to join for that historical concert in Switzerland on mai 20. 1975.

After that concert I knew, we could have listened to your words , songs and music for hours ! The LORD was in such a deep way present and blessing in a profound way ! Only eternity will show, the impact and the lasting fruits , the HOLY SPIRIT worked and implied that night through your serving in such deep dedication to the LORD .

There are a few happenings I shall never forget, as we had you living a few days on the Castle,( sleeping in a historic room of the " Historische Sammlung , for what I had to get the permission of the Conservator .)

1. You walked around in the Schlossgarten , observing the castelvisitors, as they made fotos. Whenever you saw some people fotografing oneanother, you went to them , expressing to them with gestures, that you would be ready to make a foto, where they would be on , all of them. So they were most happy , to be all on the picture !

2.You sat on the stairs of stone , by the Swiss-flag with me, and gave me deep councel for my marriage ( I was married 7 years then , and our 4. child , Lars, was to be born in 4 weeks! You told me : " Urs consider Veronica , to be part of you ! You are ONE in the LORD ! What you do for here, you are doing for YOU and the LORD, and where you wound or disapoint here, you also do it to YOU and the LORD!

3. On one of your next albums " In another land " , on the backside of the cover, we see Larry standing before a tree, all is green. I still see you putting your camera on the Castelwall, clicking on it , and running to the tree, to have your selfmade ( " Made in Switzerland &quotsmile.gificture )

Soon after 1975, Jean Daniel von Lerber, who was a witness of that " Christian- Rock- premiere " with YOU on the Castle,founded KIR-records, and later Profile Productions, what gave us the priviledge, to have you again and again in Switzerland. I am sure , many have been touched by the LOVE of GOD here, and come to a saving knowlede of JESUS CHRIST, through your songs and ministry.

You hear and read this from " ON HIGH ", where you are with the LORD, and it is amazing to see, that it is exactly a
" Earthly-LIFE-time " of JESUS , since 1975, when you first performed in Switzerland, and how much HE was able to do , through YOU, by HIS AMACING GRACE. HIS SPIRIT shall comfort your LOVED-ONES , left behind, until we all meet in the sky. " Thank you so much for Larry, LORD, and keep us faithfull, until you come to take us HOME ! "

It is march 6. just after midnight , and I listen to a 1 hour broacast about Larry Normans life and work ( Readers Digest is  he singing right now ! )

As the castelan on the LENZBURG and initiator of the first Rock festival in Switzerland , on Febr. 3. 1965,  in the Casino Zürich Horn,(secular, as I did not know JESUS yet, personaly), I heard your songs : " I wish we d all been ready " and " Why should the devil have all the good music ?"

The LORD really touched my heart , and encouraged me, to invite you for a CHRISTIAN Rock-concert in Mai, as you were on tour in Germany and Europe at that time. The only thing I regret , is, that I thought it would not be possible, to listen to one Brother with his guitar, and sing songs about JESUS for a whole evening . So I engaged 2 more , to join for that historical concert in Switzerland on mai 20. 1975.

After that concert I knew, we could have listened to your words , songs and music for hours ! The LORD was in such a deep way present and blessing in a profound way ! Only eternity will show, the impact and the lasting fruits , the HOLY SPIRIT worked and implied that night through your serving in such deep dedication to the LORD .

There are a few happenings I shall never forget, as we had you living a few days on the Castle,( sleeping in a historic room of the " Historische Sammlung , for what I had to get the permission of the Conservator .)

1. You walked around in the Schlossgarten , observing the castelvisitors, as they made fotos. Whenever you saw some people fotografing oneanother, you went to them , expressing to them with gestures, that you would be ready to make a foto, where they would be on , all of them. So they were most happy , to be all on the picture !

2.You sat on the stairs of stone , by the Swiss-flag with me, and gave me deep councel for my marriage ( I was married 7 years then , and our 4. child , Lars, was to be born in 4 weeks! You told me : " Urs consider Veronica , to be part of you ! You are ONE in the LORD ! What you do for here, you are doing for YOU and the LORD, and where you wound or disapoint here, you also do it to YOU and the LORD!

3. On one of your next albums " In another land " , on the backside of the cover, we see Larry standing before a tree, all is green. I still see you putting your camera on the Castelwall, clicking on it , and running to the tree, to have your selfmade ( " Made in Switzerland &quotsmile.gificture )

Soon after 1975, Jean Daniel von Lerber, who was a witness of that " Christian- Rock- premiere " with YOU on the Castle,founded KIR-records, and later Profile Productions, what gave us the priviledge, to have you again and again in Switzerland. I am sure , many have been touched by the LOVE of GOD here, and come to a saving knowlede of JESUS CHRIST, through your songs and ministry.

You hear and read this from " ON HIGH ", where you are with the LORD, and it is amazing to see, that it is exactly a
" Earthly-LIFE-time " of JESUS , since 1975, when you first performed in Switzerland, and how much HE was able to do , through YOU, by HIS AMACING GRACE. HIS SPIRIT shall comfort your LOVED-ONES , left behind, until we all meet in the sky. " Thank you so much for Larry, LORD, and keep us faithfull, until you come to take us HOME ! "
