Larry Norman Message Board

Thanks to all the thousands of visitors we've had in the past 30 days.
The response has been overwhelming, and has meant a lot to
Larry's family and friends around the world.

Again, thanks for all the support and great memories...

I would so like to be at tomorrow's ceremony, but being so far away - in England - I know it will be impossible. I feel that I owe Larry so much for what he gave to humanity in his 60 years. He was the older brother that I always wanted to have, and his music and ministery helped me through so many problems throughout the years. Having known him and his music since the very early 70s, it seems so hard to imagine life without him.

At the time of the service, I intend to play a selection of his songs (I believe that 10am in Oregon relates to 6pm in England?). Obvious choices would be "I wish we'd all been ready", "I hope I see you in Heaven" and of course "Goodbye, Farewell". Does anyone else have any to add to this list, maybe we could agree on a short list of 5 or 6 songs, and send our love out to Larry and his family by playing the selection together at the time of the ceremony. Just an idea, I feel the need to do something from so far away.

"Oregon is in the Pacific Time Zone in the United States.  Pacific Standard Time (PST) is 8 hours behind Greenwich Mean Time (GMT-8)"

I feel the same. I'd really like to be there to pay my last respects, because I feel like I 'owe' it to Larry. But ... Oregon is very far away from The Netherlands. We have a time-difference of 9 hours, so Saturday at 19.00 h. (local time) my thoughts will be at the service. Probably I'll watch one of Larry's DVD's with my children - to pass on the legacy.

Be blessed (especially this Saturday),

I will be travelling home from a bass players conference at 6.00 p.m. tomorrow (equivalent UK time), and I'll be thinking about Larry too.

This past week I've been playing the Footprints In The Sand CD in the car a lot, so I'll be listening to that on my journey tomorrow.
