Larry was the very first celebrity I'd meet in Hollywood, in 1975. Across from Capitol Records on Vine Street, he sipped on a Coke, long blonde hair and big smile. (the Hot dog guy had a bunch of Larry's 8 by 10's on the wall) I'd left my home in New York hoping for a record deal in LA. Larry saw the reel to reel demo tape I had in my hand. "Hey kid, what you got there?" "Genius music, " I replied. "Jesus music?" he asked this time. "No!" I said again, and then Larry invited me for nice, long chat! He spun many tales, and then talked about GOD! HE did not preach, he inspired. His Honest Sound was always there... those sad, hard times. He surely was God's Street Level Music Man! PEACE Larry!
