Larry Norman Message Board

Thanks to all the thousands of visitors we've had in the past 30 days.
The response has been overwhelming, and has meant a lot to
Larry's family and friends around the world.

Again, thanks for all the support and great memories...

ONE WAY

Larry was the coolest dude!

He chose to suffer pain...

doing it for those he loved;

postponing " Heaven's gain."

He could have died so many times,

but chose to" fight the fight "

of living for the rest of us...

and showing us what's right.

Unselfish, brave and true to God

forever loving, kind...

no compromise, yet humerous

are words that come to mind.

He lived life to the fullest

as a Christian's meant to do...

For he was an example

and he led for me and you.

Some of us are weak and scared

but we must carry on...

Light and salt are needed more

when folks like him are gone!

Perhaps we can not play guitar

or write good tunes and sing,

But Larry knows in each of us

there's beauty for our King.

So let us shine for Jesus

in each corner of our world...

Let us all proclaim God's Name

with boldness there unfurled.

The tribute Larry would desire

is for us to do our best...

To serve the Lord with gladness

and to rise above each test;

to share the Lord with others

in our own small, feeble way...

and point our finger upwards

as we show them God's one Way!

Wow...Thank you Sherry for the wonderful poem...Since last Sunday when Larry passed away I've added a few new pages of pictures/comments and thoughts about Larry to my Christian music photo/memory album, and I will be adding your poem to my album.  I know Larry would have been touched, and I know you have touched the hearts of all of us who have read and will be reading your words.  Thank you for your example!   Blessings to you.....Mike C

The following words are from a song written as a tribute to Kathryn Kuhlman when she passed away.  Except for the "wedding gown" part, I think it applies beautifully to the life of Larry Norman:

Now I think I know what He was trying to do
Now I think I see what He has brought you through
Now I think I have a picture of it all
The gold-lined tapestry that you knew as your call

There were times when darkness shrouded paths of light
Yet you carried on, not giving up the fight
"Thank You, precious Lord," I can hear you sigh
'Cause through it all He let you be the apple of His eye

There was not a cost you paid that was too high
There was not a pain you counted too severe
And letting all your plans be His and not your own
You traveled 'round the world, but today you've found your home

Standing now before Him, the angels gather 'round
There you are in white, a holy wedding gown
Radiant joy streams now from your face
The Master says,"Well done, you've just won that long, hard race!"
