As a youngster I had the privilege of seeing Larry in concert in one of his early tours (I think it was the first) of England - must have been in the early 70s, I think the first concert was at Stanmore Baptist Church.  The long hair, the amazing music, his testimonies, his ability to speak simply to all and sundry - all made a lasting impression upon me.  And when a student I remember a crowd of us packing in to some old cinema in north London to hear Larry with the Alwyn Wall Band - amazing stuff.  Whenever Larry came to England I tried to see him in concert.

Throughout my Christian life and in my ministry I have found sustenance and strength in his music.  I supose it's the sense of a Godly perspective which his music brings - far more than just the 'praise songs' so popular in some quarters.  The sort of music I've been happy to share with friends who, as yet, don't believe.

Now 51, I still listen and learn from him - and often return to my old 'Upon this Rock' LP!

We will all miss him, and we commend him to the safe keep of God, our heavenly Father.

Larry Norman - may light perpetual shine upon you, may you rest in peace and rise in glory.

The Revd Keith Riglin
Minister and University Chaplain
St Columba's Church, Cambridge, England
