Larry...

I was wondering why you hadn't answered my last email. Now I know why. :)

I have crazy fractured memories of you. When we opened for you at the Royal Albert in '74 and then again in '81. You were just a blur then.

We played with you again in Germany in the early 1990s. When I spoke with you and reintroduced myself, you said, "that was that flutey band, right?" Ha!

Then I moved to Salem and found out you were here too. Wow. We had long talks on the phone - emails. You were very kind. I met you for dinner but you had to leave early to go to the hospital for some medicine. That was the last time I saw you.

So, you weren't a superhero after all? The father of Christian rock and roll? You turned out to be human after all in the end.

So Larry, I'm sad right now, but happy knowing you knew the jig was up and where you were heading. Now you're there. Lucky dog.

You lived life well and you left quite an impression on the world you've left behind. See you soon.

Much love and respect,
Randy

Larry was my pen-pal too.  I miss him so much.  My sympathy on the loss of a friend.
