Larry Norman.
he was and is an encourager and lover of souls. this is primary in those whose citizenship is heavenly and i am inspired by this servant of GOD. Larry's music and ministry touched many hearts, and was an instrument and gift from GOD that was used and not covered "under a bushel". he let his light "so shine"; was and is faithful, and this is a reflection of the love of GOD. let this continue to serve as an example of how to respond to the grace of GOD that continues to be shed abroad in the hearts of men and women who seek HIS face. amen.

To his family and close loved ones:
may the peace of GOD, which passes all understanding, enlarge in your hearts, and provide comfort in this time of loss and mourning. please know what a blessing your son, brother, husband, father and friend was and is to us all. i loved his last words to us. rr +smile.gif Romans 12:1-2

Larry was indeed an encourager. I was a pretty confused young songwriter, divorced with a 4 year old son, slowly stumbling my way back into a real faith after years of stupidity (we weren't long out of the '60s) when I became part of the Bible study in his home, the Vineyard under Ken Gulliksen. Larry was a friend, Larry was a role model, Larry gave a lot of practical advice - he was very into empowering musicians and songwriters. Larry was the first person who made me realize you didn't have to choose between 'hip' and 'Christian' - sounds dumb, but that was an issue to me, back then.

I am joyful to know he's with Abba and other friends and family in the heavenlies - and I'm sad to know I won't see him again on this planet. I thank God for his determined ministry, that up to the last Larry was more concerned that the message of Jesus our Lord and Savior get out to the world than he be safe and comfortable.

It's not about doing it right all the time - none of us do - it's about ending well, which Larry did-- blessings and love to all who miss him and I'm sorry I can't join you Saturday.

amen. may GOD richly bless you with an unquenchable passion to minister to others through the giftings HE has placed in you. i pray for GOD, through the power of the Holy Spirit, refresh you with the intimacy of your first love for Christ and the Kingdom of God. amen.

Romans 12 1-2;
