Larry Norman Message Board

Thanks to all the thousands of visitors we've had in the past 30 days.
The response has been overwhelming, and has meant a lot to
Larry's family and friends around the world.

Again, thanks for all the support and great memories...

My first Christian Rock album was Larry's "Upon This Rock." The lyrics and music spoke for me. I was raised in a "traditional" Christian home. Larry encouraged me to follow Jesus in an unconventional way - to be a radical follower of Jesus. "I Wish We'd All Been Ready" challenged me and my peers to be ready ... and "Moses on the bank of the Red Sea stuck out a stick and 'One, Two, Three' ..." gave us a good laugh.

I know Larry had some really tough times following the plane crash, and my heart broke for him, but then ... haven't we all faced trouble, just like Jesus said we would. Larry hung in there, and now he's face to face with the love of his life. An overcomer.

He joins my wife in that great cloud of witnesses, cheering us on.

To his family, may God comfort you and bless you.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 has become so precious to me. The Message version includes these words: "These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us ... The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever."

Love.
