Greetings to the Norman Family,                                                 26 Feb 2008

      On 14 Feb 1975 I became a Christian.  I lived in the Chicago land area and just escaped certain death in the drug culture.  The first Bible I was given was a KJ Verson that I could barely read.  I went to my first worship services ever and heard many of the great old time hyms.  Then the man who led me to Christ turned on an album "Only Visiting This Planet" by Larry Norman - and I was blown away.  I memorized every line.  Later I saw Larry perform in Pasadena, CA, and Chicago.  My third time to see Larry was at Nortre Dame in Indiana and I had front row, center seat view.  Wow.  I left Larry's concerts quiet and tearful.  I felt the pain and sorrows of sin on earth, and I also felt the joy of salvation in Christ while leaving the concerts.  Later, I joined the Army Chaplain Corps and while on bus rides with soldiers I sang "Sipping whisky from a paper cup...".  The soldiers thought I was crazy.  Later while I attended the S. Korean Ranger Course, the Korean Instructors demanded the Americans to sing songs to them while we rested for lunch one day.  Some sang Elvis and some Beatle songs.  I got up and sang "Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music".  The Koreans (and Americans) thought I was crazy.  All I can say is, I thank God Almighty for Larry Norman and his musical influence on me and my family.  My 15 yr old son plays guitar (like C. Norman I hope) and will play some of Larry's music during their shows.  God is so good.  In the near future, I'm going to find where Larry is at in Glory and I'm going to his mansion to meet him.
