My brother introduced me to Larry's music. One of the first songs I learned after getting saved was "Outlaw". Larry's style was very comfortable for me and I was greatly influenced in my songwriting by Larry's no nonsense lyrics. God's love is simple, to the point and very, very clear. Our lives and message should also have these qualities. Larry's did! Randy Stonehill told me once "Don't make your lyrics too beautiful and eloquent, people will think you're a great writer, but, still miss what you're saying." I think he may have learned this from Larry because this is how Larry approached lyrics. Larry, I get it! We'll only miss you for a while, then, we'll hang out forever in God's house! Thanks for everything Larry!
