We've only just found out through a friend that Larry died - he has been part of our lives for the last 19 years, and before that for my husband Andy.  We'd zoom around in Andy's old sports car when I first met him with Larry singing out on cassette, and one of our first dates was seeing him perform at Salford University in 1990.  A treasured photograph hangs on our room wall, Andy standing proudly alongside Larry at Greenbelt Festival around the same time.  Even now Andy sings many of Larry's songs on guitar, and our children Molly and George have known the words since they could talk - 'milk and honey' being one of their favourites from an early age.  'If you went to church with long blond hair what would the people say ...' - a line from one of Andy's songs in honour of Larry!  We love to hear Martyn Joseph sing Larry's songs, and indeed hope that he does so when we see him soon in May.  It's strange that Andy's not here today when we found out - he's over in Egypt and we had to text him, and he texted back to make sure it was true.  I'm sure once he's home in a few weeks he'll add to these many lovely thought and thankyous.  Sue Howe
