My heart goes out to the family and friends of Larry Norman.  I've been out-of-whack all week long, and feel like I've been in some type of time-warp.   Caught myself crying a couple of times, and surprised by how ferociously the tears spilled out.   Can't explain it...just that Larry really ingrained himself into my life and walk with Jesus.

Loved his albums, and each of his songs were like friends for me when I needed them in junior high, high school and college (77-88).  I'd revisit them over and over, when I was feeling down, or needed a lift.   I even performed piano/vocal arrangements of his tunes in high school talent shows, though "Why Don't You Look into Jesus" almost got me expelled for its raw-ness.

Saw him in concert in the 80's at Sioux Falls College in Sioux Falls, SD.   Talked with him backstage, and like many others, joined him for early wee hour breakfast at 24-hour restaurant.   Through it all, Larry's passion for evangelism, discipleship, and authentic love of people shone through.

Thank you God, for your gift of Larry Norman.   "We've got to learn to live without him", though now he can live with You forever, in Your kingdom.

Love to his family and friends who were touched in myriad of kaleidoscopic ways.
