Many many years ago, I BELIEVE it was around 1982, I happened to a yard sale and bought a LP.

That LP was "Only Visiting this Planet"

The cover was a bit ragged, and there was writting on it from a pen, a little scribbling, but somehow, I just knew I should pay the lady the "Quarter", for it.

I took it home and put it on my Stereo Record Player (not a single scratch on that Record btw) and was blown away by the music.

From that point on, I had to have More Larry Norman Music. And so i did. I've lost all the old tapes of his that I once had thru out the years; but I do have some downloaded on my PC.

I would Like to thank the Family of Larry Norman, for Sharing him with us all, he will be missed greatly by millions.

Maybe now Larry Norman and Keith Green can play some jams together, imagine that album!

All my Best to Everyone
Ray

Sadly I heard the news of Larry's passing on Friday night (Feb 29th). I was saddened by the news that someone who had kept me sane and inspired during my conservative Christian upbringing was no longer with us. But then I began to reflect on the joy that this man's ministry brought to my life. Although I lived half a world away in Australia i managed to be touched by Larry. Both by his recorded works and his live concerts and the rare occasions that I was able to meet him back stage or after a show. The thing that brought me the most joy was his ability to challenge the way we all thought of Jesus and the gospel. Larry was a straight shooter and was never one to pull his punches. God knows Christianity needs a few more like him right now.

Today I visited a local 2nd hand record store and I picked up a copy of Only Visiting this Planet in almost mint condition. It's on the turntable now as I am typing this and toasting the life of Larry Norman by sipping some whiskey from a paper cup. Looking forward to catching up with you when I come home.
