Do you have any regrets that involve Larry Norman? I do. A few years ago I was hard up for cash and I sold two of my most prized Larry Norman items on eBay; The 'Blue Book' magazine and an autographed CD cover of "Only Visiting This Planet". I don't remember how much money I got for them, but looking back it wasn't all that much. I've regretted it ever since and i'd do anything to have those two items back in my posession.

YEs.  Not seeing him in concert more.  And not going up and talking to him at the Randy Newman concert in the 80's.

i felt the same way about rich mullins. i saw his seminar at cornerstone 97 and i also saw him walking around the grounds throughout the festival. at one point he was standing 10 feet away from me watching the same concert i was, but i didn't say a word to him....then two months later he was dead.

Blue book

I have a copy of that item and I too treasure it. If Larry's family don't mind, I would sure like offer to photocopy the one that I have and send a copy to the guy here who's regretting selling his copy(?).

that would be awesome! i don't know if they'd mind or not....maybe call them or e-mail them; all their contact info can be found at www.larrynorman.com from what i know, larry didn't mind people sharing copying his music and stuff for other people, the only thing he hated was when people bootleged it to sell for profit. i would gladly buy an original or a reissue if solidrock ever printed it again, but if they're okay with you copying it for me i'd appreciate that too and would gladly reimburse you for shipping charges. you can e-mail me at jscollins1999@yahoo.com thanks a lot.

it was a Larry Norman tribute magazine. From cover to cover it was nothing but Larry Norman pictures, interviews, and information about him. It was independently released around the time of his 'home at last' album and although it had no official title it was usually refered to as 'the blue book' because all of the ink used (even for the pictures) was blue. It was a nice collection and the pages were all made of a fairly high quality cardstock.

My regrets involving Larry are due to tight budget (raising kids isn't cheap!!) my husband and I never could afford to attend another concert after the one in 1981.  Looking back, I am sure that we could have found some way to afford the tickets...but at the time, there just didn't seem to be the funds.  I did email Larry in January of this year and told him what an impact those times spent with him had made on our lives.  I never heard anything back,(I assume that he was too sick to respond) and I can only hope that he read the email and that it blessed him.

Losing my earthly father a year ago at the end of Feb. and now Larry, my "father in the faith", I truly hope that I will finally take Larry words ("Let us live our lives carefully so as to live without regret") more seriously, and live more carefully.

How about NEVER seeing him in concert. I regret that, accept that there wasn't too much I could do about it. Only so much money, time off work, etc. Still, I wish I had. However, I have eternity with him in Heaven.

Hey Mark Ebert:  Were you ever in Germany?  I remember listening to Larry's music in my Opel Gt overlooking Heidelberg at night. Regrets? Only one- not emailing Larry to tell him how the Lord usd him to influence my Christian walk.
