First time I saw Larry Norman live was in Helsinki when he had a concert with Alwyn Wall & Barratt Band.  After that I have always been in the audience when he was around here in Finland. Last memories are when he was playing with Charles and a band called Q-Stone.
Since I was grieved to hear about his passing, I have been listening "Live in Flevo with Q-Stone" (1989), where they play most of Larry´s great songs with high intensity and power.
One song is missing: Up In Canada. I think it´s one of Larrys best ever. It shows in a compact form all sides of his talent: a catching pop-tune with an attractive, humorous story and eternal message!

I met this long hair on the street
He said now you look like you´d like to eat
I said a glass of coke and a hot dog´s fine
He said well how about bread and a glass of wine

If it's not on that album, do you, or anyone, know where it can be found?

You´re right, the original Up in Canada studio version is on the "So long ago the garden"-lp. Here is one also in You Tube:

Cliff Richard did his version to "Small corners" 1978:

Small corners includes two other Larry Norman-songs (Why should the Devil.../I Wish We..) as well as some other excellent covers from Randy Stonehill, 2nd Chapter of Acts etc. Warmly recommend Small corners-cd to eveyone!

I also have a live version that Larry did on UK TV (on BBC), where he changed the lyrics to "When I was up in Lancashire....". Shame that Larry's never put it out on CD (he also did "UFO" and "I wish we'd all been ready" in this peformance). I sent a copy of them back to Larry a long time ago on DAT tape, and he said he remembered it pretty well when I spoke to him about it on the phone. Those were the days, a memory that will stay with me forever. Sigh..

Else, yes, the standard version of "Up In Canada" can be found on "So Long Ago The Garden" (or "[Almost] So long ago the garden", as it was originally called when first issued in the UK, having had it's track selection altered to include single cuts by the record company).

Ha!  That's great!   The one time I saw Larry at a Randy Newman/James Taylor concert in Hollywood, he was by himself walking away from the snack bar, carrying.....a coke and a hot dog!
