Larry talks about everything, also Fehrion (interview)

Hi,

I found this long interview with Larry. He gives many answers on questions asked here. Even talks about Fehrion.

As I found out recently Fehrion means something, but I'm not sure what it means. Another artist also uses this word, Chris Roseberry, wich I don't know at all.

Since I'm Dutch it's even harder to understand the meaning of this all. But I really like to know, even if it is something of a inside joke, wich I don't believe it is. Well I keep looking.

There's something else I really would like to see. Pics of Larry's grave site. As a non relative I know I don't have a right to ask for it, but it would really help me to (i don't know the right word for verwerken) and come at ease or something.

I feel blessed that I have known Larry and his music, but still feel empty inside.

I just read through this interview, taking some time to re-read some paragraphs.  I didn't find Larry incoherent at all.  In my experiences with Larry, sometimes he would just jump from one thought to the next, figuring that you could fill in the blanks of what he didn't say completely.  That some statements seemed unclear is the fault of the interviewer for not interrupting Larry and asking him to clarify.  Also, in my experience, transcribing a spoken interview to a written one always leaves something to be desired.  You miss the subtle nuances of the person's eyes and facial features that communicate so much.  Think back to the last time you saw Larry in concert...he often said more with his expressions than his words.  The same was true in private conversation....at least, that was my experience.

Thank you, Gerard, for posting this link.  I really enjoyed reading the interview...can't wait for my husband to read it later tonight.

I'm sorry you're dissapointed. For me it was a great interview (also great website!). This his how I remember Larry, serious but joking. Telling something, not everything. The only thing he always was clear about is God and Jesus and how to get to heaven.

Sadly enough I still am not sure about the Fehrion thing, without wanting to make it a obsession, I just like to know smile.

I was only commenting on his response to the Fehrion question. I didn't read the rest of the interview. (I guess I was a little sloppy with my wording.) The rest of the interview may have been fine. And I agree, the interviewer bears some responsibility in not asking him to clarrify.

It seems strange to me that Larry would insert these little riddles into his writing, but allow them to remain unexplained. It makes me scratch my head and say, What's the point?

Artists often leave unexplained riddles in their work.  It is designed as a deeper expression of who they are (or were). Think of all the riddles that Jesus let us!  To Larry, there were no riddles, of course, but I think on some points, he honestly thought that he was leaving enough clues that the riddles would be solved easily. Or that he was being plain enough that there were no riddles.  I know another man, a prophet of profound insight, that speaks in riddles also.  I often have to re-read his works several times to gain a full understanding as to what he is saying.  Sometimes I have to contact him to ask questions...and sometimes he still leaves me hanging.  Like the scriptures, there are mysteries inside of mysteries.  And as with all artists who are able to establish themselves as ones who transend time, Larry's work will be revisited again and again for many years to come....the riddles will draw you.
