I was young in the height of the Jesus Movement ... but having older siblings that were in their teens at the time I was engrossed in the music and the culture.  I remember going to Jesus Festivals.  (Woodstock always get all the press--but I remember seeing thousands standing and worshiping God--bigger crowds than I beleive were drawn to Woodstock).   I remember the One Way sign and the One Way patches on the denim bell bottom hip huggers (I think I even had one on my jeans.)   I remember seeing Andre Crouch, Love Song, The Way, and Randy Stonehill in concert.  I unfortunately never had the privilege of seeing LN in concert but we had many of his albums and they became my favorites as a teen.  I remember the arguments over what Christian music should be like.  And I want to thank Larry, Randy, and the many others that paved the way for the new bands today which we all enjoy and are blessed by.  They truly took the heat.  But I think what impresses me the most, is that it was so real for them. They took the heat from the Christian community--because they knew WHY they were doing what they were doing.  They weren't  "Christian entertainers"-- They were out there spreading the message of Jesus to people who didn't know Him.  Larry's lyrics rubbed Christians the wrong way but they spoke volumes to those who were living a life without Christ.  That was his purpose for being out there.   So we say Thank you Larry for giving your all for Christ.  We'll see you soon.  We'll "all be ready" because you helped spread the message ....
