Former band members
(Preview)
Perhaps it would be nice if some of Larrys bandmates would weigh in with some comments. I know that after 30 years playing with Larryin studios, on albums (CDs) and touring all over the globe, I have lost my dearest friend in music ministry. It may be of some interest to other fans to start a thread with...

message for Larry's family
(Preview)
I had the honor of opening, for Larry, back in the early 1980s. He was a very gifted and kind man. That day, Larry had travelled, for many hours, to get to the Boston area, and his travel group had arrived late. Larry had helped with set up, performed for several hours, was swarmed by hundreds se...

Yes, Happy Birthday Larry in Heaven
(Preview)
I first heard Larry in 1976 or so, when I was in high school. It was my first exposure to real Christian rock, and as anyone who actually did something right, he was persecuted by both the "church" and the world. I last saw Larry a few years ago, 2001 or so, when he played the main stage at the Co...

When I was a young christian back in the 70's and I would play my "annoying christian music" for my friends to hear (guess I thought I was witnessing) I remember that Larry's music was the only music that caught the ears of my unsaved friends and caused them to ask "who is this"? Lar...

When I first became a Christian back in 1988, my then girlfriend (now wife) introduced me to a few Christian albums, one of them being Larry's "Upon This Rock." I've read interviews where Larry said that he wasn't thrilled with the results on the disc, but as a new Christian who never dreame...

Generation Gap
(Preview)
Larry's music was able to bridge a gap between the music my parents listened to in the 70's (Southern Gospel) and Christian Rock we listened to. His song "I wish we'd all been ready" was also recorded by the Crownsmen. I can still remember the day I heard them playing the song and i was able to r...

I am a Christian, but i can't believe that every time someone who isn't and tries to say that they are just Larry Norman fans comes on this board they get the third degree. Larry was a musician with a message yes, but it is possible to just enjoy his music (as a lot of my friends do) without having to be saved....
